No work for me today - so time for more crafting

Heyy all!!

I was woken up this morning by my alarm as usual - 7am, go get the bus at 7:50am then get to work about 10am. I decided to leave it and stay in bed for a couple of extra minutes only to have my Dad knock on the door.

"You're not going into work today as there is a lot of snow and the buses aren't running"
"Huh?" I replied - judging by the fact I'd been awake a matter of minutes that's a usual response.
"You won't be able to get to work - look out your window"
I did so. "Ah"

So, today I have off work because for the 4th time this year, Northamptonshire as a whole is cut off - anything around Kettering is practically on it's own as Raunds, Stanwick, Higham Ferrers and Rushden were some of the worst hit areas.

Means more blogging and crafting for me!! May even get my knitting patterns up and loaded into here :D

So expect some photos, some Christmassy puns and much entertainment from me today :) x

Ooo my first two sets of custom stitich markers!!

I'm very proud to say that I've had my first two sets of custom stitch markers ordered, payed for, and are now complete!!

For those who are members of the Phoenix Knitting Forums, two of the ladies expressed an interest in my markers. So here is what was created!!

How pretty are they :)

I am taking on custom work through my website at the moment: naturalistdesigns.co.uk

I'll be adding the option to buy stitch markers & premades tonight ^_^

Brrr!! Winter is here!

It takes me long enough to post! Here's a little update of what I have been up to!

Due to poor quality light, the pictures may not be brilliant!

I've started working on my first pattern called "By Dusk" which will be a knitted blanket, made entirely on 8mm needles. So will be beautifully warm :)

I'm also working on a set of Fetching's for myself in Stylecraft Twirl "Cherry Twirl"; got one complete, added in another lot of cables at the bottom and top so they'll stay on my hands abit easier!!

Continuing on my Christmas list, I'm using Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake (Shade:0631) and Patons Pompero (Shade:35 Hollyhock) to make Paul's cousin a Kitty Eared Winter Hat. How cute. I'll be creating a pattern for that too in the come few weeks.

Paul's winter gift is some I Phone Socks! He has requested that I make him some cosies to use up my ever expanding yarn stash. So that will be his smaller gift.

Mum for Christmas will be getting the blanket once it is finished :) So hopefully some more photos once it is complete!!

Also one last thing. I have a new member of my fibre family. Her name is Joselyn, and she is an Ashford Kiwi Spinning Wheel <3 She was a pain in the backside to put together.

So far I've been plying my machine ball cones together to make some meaty yarns.

So that is the fruits of my labour! Keep checking back as the patterns may actually start getting written!!
