Delights of home

I do love when I get to spend time at home. Time to spend doing what I used to enjoy much of: creating.

Now, my parents would say "What a mess?". My fiancee would say "What more unfinished projects?". And my colleagues may say "What complaints?".

I'm inclined to disagree with all three! I enjoy creating through baking yummy cookies from Lucy's recipe. I love creating beautiful things from yarn. I also love creating a calm and cozy atmosphere, so on my days off I can chill.

Would you like to see some of my creative spouts?

Row 1: Romantic Rose Brooch // Chunky Odd Match Preemie / Newborn Hat
Row 2: Pink Rainbow Nappy Cover // Winter Granny Stripe Smart Phone Cozy
Row 3: Springtime Flower Headband // Winter to Spring Birdie Wall Hanging
Row 4: Easter Crochet Stripe Wist Cuff // Rainbow Merino Necklace

I do have some more project that need finishing, but it's getting there. Starting to feel like I'm getting into a routine with new job, new home, new life. Feel like things are finally back on the right track, the track back to feeling more normal and human since last August. I wouldn't have got where I am now without the help of friends, family or loved ones.

Also, you may recall last year on 1st March I posted about the passing of my Grandfather. It'll be a year tomorrow since losing him. Admittedly, I barely saw him after he moved from Wales to Nottingham. But it's still shocking that it's been a year. I won't ever forget.

Okay, before I well up, I'm going to indulge in the homemade cookies (fudge and honeycombe oaty variety) cooling in the kitchen. Love you all for now xx

Safe & Well

After a mad flurry of activity I'm on my first day off since moving. My first undisturbed day of crafting, creativity and cleaning?

My craft room is still in a state of disarray. But I have lots of new jars to be filled with beads, knitting needles, crochet hooks, buttons, & teenie oddments of yarn.

But life is well. And I'll leave you with what I wrote in my fiancee's Valentines day card;

In case you can't read it;
"I love you so much, and cannot wait to call you my husband & father of our littlies!
You've been a light and support in my life for the past 5 & a bit years.
My heart is yours, always.
Love you!"

xx

Welcome to my new home

Welcome to my new home!

It's rather chilly today. Minus temperatures apparently. Not looking forward to going outside.

This was the beautiful view from my bedroom this morning. So frosty, yet so snowy. The remainder of this weeks snow - from 7 days ago and Thursday.

I am loving my new home. Would you like to see more?

Bedroom;

Bathroom;

Paul's craft room;

My craft room;

Stairwell;

Living room;

Welcome hall; (more like a dumping ground for all the shoes and coats)

And the kitchen!!

And of course my garden;

Th kitchen was certainly the selling point for me and Paul, it's HUGE!!!! My Dad is heavily into cooking, so was very impressed.

I'm already working on the blanket for the craft room, blanket for the bed (which you've only seen the colours, not the blanket in progress).

So life is getting better. I hope this year remains as good as my heart feels right now!

Hello hello!

Hello fellow crafters. Hope you are all well, and everything in your little bubble is okay :)

I get Internet back on Friday at home, so I am OVER the moon!!!! Only problem being, I've had to take all the photos again as my laptop died a death on me :/ not good. Apparently I may have another by Tuesday week, yippee ^_______^

Just want to show off my latest work in progress. I'm calling it the blanket of my dreams. Because its entirely granny squares, different sizes. Made from old projects, and the super size blanket I tried to start two years a go.

What do you think so far?

Ill love you all and leave you all for a bit so I can finish my lunch hour :)
