thank you thank you!

I feel a bit over the moon with the responces I have had about me and Paul getting married - on Ravelry, knitting forums, facebook, from work, and through my blog :) It really warms my heart!! So, thank you  from the bottom of my very big heart. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you <3

So, I take it you'll all want to see some of my choices for the wedding attire? I suppose I can leak a lot of information.
I've been looking on a website called Honey Pie Boutique, which sells the style of dress I've been lusting over for about 3 years - don't tell Paul that haha!
  • Audrey - I love this style!! It'll look really nice as I loose the weight.
  • Elizabeth - This maybe a better option for holding in my tummy and up the girls.
For my sisters, who are two of my three bridesmaids, I've been trying to find styles that would look really fun - yet keeping to the purple!
  • Debenhams - Plum wrap around - My sisters have got curves, but my youngest sister has excema. This would look really pretty on them both!!
  • Or going for the Elizabeth dress, but in shade 86 from the colour chart? Then I can still find something similar for Tia, who is my other bridesmaid. If she's okay with it - she's 5 in January so can't ask her until after this point.
As for venues, so far we've been pinning our hopes on Stanwick Lakes in Northamptonshire. It's about a 10 minute drive from our house, and just off the A45. It's a beautiful and relaxing place. I used to walk from my parents house in Raunds, across the villiage, up the country path by the doctors, to the most secluded section of Stanwick Lakes. This used to be my refuge from feeling stressed and overwhelming emotions of being a teenager. There's also some abandoned farm buildings by there that are very eerie, yet so interesting to explore.

With all of that, I think I'll leave you with a load more finished projects :)

Ooo hello my angels!

My my it's been a while since we last spoke. I have lots to show and tell! Please be prepared :)

BIG NEWSSSS!!!!
Me and the tall one have started wedding planning, and have finally set a date! And we have a date!! 6th April 2013!!

We've decided to try and have a small wedding as we don't want too much fuss. We've decided on a purple colour scheme.

I'm so excited, nervous,
jumpy, stressed the whole lot!

Also, got some recent makey makes! Mainly beading things with angels as the theme.

My friend is doing a charity walk for Crohn's & Colitis UK in Rutland Water, Northamptonshire.

I made her and her husband some charms as well, as a reminder of the event.

Also I made some beautiful charms for the Rainbow Babies & Olly's Rainbow charities!

Lots of makey makes! Made in about two hours haha. But it was just a quick hello, and that I'm still okay :)

Garden love

Now me and the tall one have a garden, I feel compelled to show off photos of our weekend enjoying the pretty garden.

We have a tree in the corner by the shed that was very over grown, Paul wanted to chop it back to make it more accessible.

So naturally I had to add flowers, and bird feeders to make it much nicer.

We had an extremely overgrown honeysuckle plant. That's the half way hair cut stage.

We chopped it right back. We're going to repair the fence and the trellis, only so it grows much better.

As the patio felt left out, here is the narcissi, hyacinth, lavender, tulips and daffodils all potted up to make it all pretty.

Ahh I love my garden :)

I bet your all wondering what will be happening to all the wood from the tree and honeysuckle?
The tree wood is being given to some friends of mine and Paul's who have a log burner. They are pyromaniacs (this I love dearly about them), and need the warmth in their pretty house, so I've offered it to them.
The honeysuckle is getting taken to the tip to be incinerated.

There you have it. Got lots more to go, but I'm really feeling such positive vibes with this house :)

Delights of home

I do love when I get to spend time at home. Time to spend doing what I used to enjoy much of: creating.

Now, my parents would say "What a mess?". My fiancee would say "What more unfinished projects?". And my colleagues may say "What complaints?".

I'm inclined to disagree with all three! I enjoy creating through baking yummy cookies from Lucy's recipe. I love creating beautiful things from yarn. I also love creating a calm and cozy atmosphere, so on my days off I can chill.

Would you like to see some of my creative spouts?

Row 2: Pink Rainbow Nappy Cover // Winter Granny Stripe Smart Phone Cozy
Row 3: Springtime Flower Headband // Winter to Spring Birdie Wall Hanging
Row 4: Easter Crochet Stripe Wist Cuff // Rainbow Merino Necklace

I do have some more project that need finishing, but it's getting there. Starting to feel like I'm getting into a routine with new job, new home, new life. Feel like things are finally back on the right track, the track back to feeling more normal and human since last August. I wouldn't have got where I am now without the help of friends, family or loved ones.

Also, you may recall last year on 1st March I posted about the passing of my Grandfather. It'll be a year tomorrow since losing him. Admittedly, I barely saw him after he moved from Wales to Nottingham. But it's still shocking that it's been a year. I won't ever forget.

Okay, before I well up, I'm going to indulge in the homemade cookies (fudge and honeycombe oaty variety) cooling in the kitchen. Love you all for now xx
