thank you thank you!

I feel a bit over the moon with the responces I have had about me and Paul getting married - on Ravelry, knitting forums, facebook, from work, and through my blog :) It really warms my heart!! So, thank you  from the bottom of my very big heart. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you <3

So, I take it you'll all want to see some of my choices for the wedding attire? I suppose I can leak a lot of information.
I've been looking on a website called Honey Pie Boutique, which sells the style of dress I've been lusting over for about 3 years - don't tell Paul that haha!
  • Audrey - I love this style!! It'll look really nice as I loose the weight.
  • Elizabeth - This maybe a better option for holding in my tummy and up the girls.
For my sisters, who are two of my three bridesmaids, I've been trying to find styles that would look really fun - yet keeping to the purple!
  • Debenhams - Plum wrap around - My sisters have got curves, but my youngest sister has excema. This would look really pretty on them both!!
  • Or going for the Elizabeth dress, but in shade 86 from the colour chart? Then I can still find something similar for Tia, who is my other bridesmaid. If she's okay with it - she's 5 in January so can't ask her until after this point.
As for venues, so far we've been pinning our hopes on Stanwick Lakes in Northamptonshire. It's about a 10 minute drive from our house, and just off the A45. It's a beautiful and relaxing place. I used to walk from my parents house in Raunds, across the villiage, up the country path by the doctors, to the most secluded section of Stanwick Lakes. This used to be my refuge from feeling stressed and overwhelming emotions of being a teenager. There's also some abandoned farm buildings by there that are very eerie, yet so interesting to explore.

With all of that, I think I'll leave you with a load more finished projects :)

  1. Blimey! I go all 'unsociable' and miss the exciting news!!
I just seem to have lost my commenting mojo!
But huge congrats on your news...how exciting.
Love both the dresses. For my ten pen'orth, if you're busty I'd go for Elizabeth. Audrey if you are more petite in that region. And just in case it was chilly I'd add a little fluffy, feather/fur, bolero.
Never been to 'The Lakes' but it looks and sounds blissful.
    So chuffed for you both!
    Z xx

  2. Hey Z!! I have been out of the blogging mojo for a while, so am trying to get in a routine of this again.

I am smaller than most in the chest region, but have wide shoulders so am still classed as hourglass. I'm making my own granny style shawl for the big day along with the 3 for the bridesmaids :)

:D Thank you so much, I'm over the moon x
